Membership Application Process


Thank you so much for considering membership in the Miles River Yacht Club. Founded in 1921, the purpose of the Miles River Yacht Club is to stimulate interest in boating, sailing, and swimming, to promote social recreation, and to enhance the general welfare of the community. Please see instructions below to complete the membership application process.
  1. Complete the attached membership application and submit via email (membership@milesriveryc.com), including credit card information to process the $50 application fee. If you are unable to submit electronically, you may mail the application to: MRYC Membership Committee Chair, PO Box 158, St. Michaels, MD 21663 (along with payment for application fee)
  2. Your application must be sponsored by two MRYC members in good standing for a minimum of six months.
  3. Applicants for membership to the MRYC shall not be discriminated against on the bases of race, color, age, ancestry, national origin, sex, political affiliation, sexual orientation, disability or any other grounds prohibited by the law.
  4. Upon receipt, the applicants will be contacted to schedule a membership interview at the Club. This is an opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to learn more about MRYC.
  5. After the interview and required posting, applications will be submitted to the Board of Governors for approval (or in the event there is a waiting list, your application will be processed when a membership opening becomes available). You will be notified once your application is approved and welcomed as a member of MRYC.
